The Easter Bunny is coming...
Easter is a fun time of year for our family. We always decorate our home one month before each holiday to get into the spirit. One special treat we enjoy with Easter is getting a cherry blossom tree from our favorite flower store Winston's. It is probably our favorite decorations for our home because we have made special decorated eggs to hang from that tree and it looks so pretty. It gives you the feeling that warm weather is approaching and that Spring is here. It has now become my kids tradition. The problem is sometimes you can't find this tree because of weather temps in months prior so sometimes this kind of tree is just not around. We have not had it for the past two years. Another tradition is one I grew up with and am now passing along to our kids and that is the big Easter chocolate egg with a prize inside (years past the prizes were amazing). Growing up my siblings and I used to chase one another for the egg to get the awesome prize. A new tradition I have is making fun Easter baskets for the day of so the kids have something from the Easter bunny. Other past traditions concern food and food cooked by Grandma Rita. One dish we all go crazy for is Pita Kina yum just writing it down makes my mouth water. My mom made it for me early this year since we can't go home for Easter so that was a big treat. I have made it once myself before but it is just not the same if my mom is not here to make it with me. We plan on seeing the Easter bunny at our local park Claredon for an Easter Egg hunt and then at the University Club. I will post those pictures after Easter. Here are some pictures of our place during for now. As you can see Miles and Sienna are loving it.
